Research Assistant (Fixed Term)


The Bennett Institute for Public Policy invites applications for a Research Assistant.

The Bennett Institute is a major, multi-disciplinary research centre committed to producing world-leading research on policy questions in the age of disruption. It is based at the University of Cambridge, within the Department for Politics & International Studies, and is led by its inaugural Director Professor Michael Kenny, and Professor Diane Coyle, the Bennett Professor of Public Policy.

The Research Assistant will undertake a range of research tasks in support of the Institute's programmes of research, most likely in one or more of the following areas: institutions; governance; devolution; and public administration.

The successful candidate should have a good first degree in one of the Social Sciences or another cognate discipline, a good understanding of the policy-making process, and experience of qualitative research. They should be flexible and adaptable, and may be called upon to support the events programme of the Institute.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months.
