Receptionist (Part Time)


The Role:

Workplace Services, part of Estates Division, are looking to recruit a Part-Time Receptionist to join its team. The role is based at Greenwich House which is the home of many of the administrative functions within the University, including Estates Division, the Research Operations Office, Human Resources, Finance, and the Health, Safety and Regulated Facilities Division.

The Receptionists plays an integral part of the Front of House team to ensure staff & visitors experience a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

You will be assisting with multiple services delivered by the Front of House team, including coordination of bookings for meeting rooms, Pool Bikes and visitor parking, replenishing stationery and beverage supplies, opening & distribution of post, signing in/out visitors, sending out communications across the building and assisting in the smooth running of the reception desk.

About you:

In order to succeed in this role, you will need the following skills: Have previous reception experience or have worked in a customer facing role.

Be competent in standard software packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook

Possess excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload and to multi-task, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as well as numeracy skills. Be flexible to cover annual leave when required.
