Course Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)


The Department of Public Health and Primary Care in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly MPhil course team as an Administrator, providing administrative support for our successful MPhil in Population Health Sciences programme, which has over 70 postgraduate students each year.

The post holder will be involved in all aspects of administration for the programme, from admissions to awards, supporting MPhil students and teaching staff, as well as organising teaching sessions and events. You will work closely with administrative colleagues and the wider course team and be the first point of contact for a wide range of people including applicants, students, and academic staff. You will be well-organised, able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines, have a good level of competence in standard software packages, and have strong attention to detail. You will be able to work independently on your own initiative but also contribute as a team member and be able to build positive working relationships with your colleagues in the MPhil team, Department and University. Training will be provided in the use of university systems.

Candidates must be educated to at least GCSE-level or equivalent, including a minimum requirement of English and Mathematics at grade C/Level 4 or above. Previous experience of working in Higher Education would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is a part-time position working 21.5 hours per week (60% FTE). Working days to be agreed. Funding for the role is currently for 2 years from commencement in post.
