Special Projects Administrator
The Finance Division wishes to recruit an experienced administrator to support the PA to the Deputy Director of Finance, with a specific focus on providing support to special projects within Financial Operations.
We are looking for someone highly organised who has previous experience of working in an administrative/project role. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have strong time management and organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload.
The Role
You will provide an efficient and effective administrative and project planning function for a variety of projects being led by the Deputy Director of Finance. Tasks will include arranging meetings, collating agendas and papers, taking minutes, and tracking progress, and providing administrative support to the Project Managers, sponsors and project committees.
This role will also provide executive support to the senior management team (in particular, the Deputy Director of Finance as guided by the PA to the Deputy Director) as and when necessary, e.g. diary management and coordinating internal and external meetings, and will provide PA support cover to Deputy Director of Finance in the absence of the PA to the Deputy Director.
Additional duties will include coordinating events such as staff workshops and training sessions, including venue booking, catering, travel arrangements, agenda and workshop materials.
Your Skills
We are seeking applicants with experience in an administrative role and demonstrative knowledge and experience of project administration and coordination.
Candidates should be educated to A-level standard / GCSE standard, or equivalent, including Mathematics and English. They should also be highly proficient in standard software packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint. Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Funding for this post is available for two years fixed term, in the first instance.
