Senior Project Manager (Internal Applicants Only)
The Role
The University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of the Reimagining Professional Services programme, an ambitious initiative which aims to create a compelling new future for professional services across the University of Cambridge. This role is part of large-scale initiatives aimed at adopting new ways of working to support our staff and academic mission. As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering key projects within our ambitious programme to enhance and transform professional services across the University. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, academic staff, and professional services teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues as they arise
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and academic staff
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with programme objectives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proven experience in senior project management roles, understanding the context of working at the University of Cambridge
- Strong track record of delivering large-scale transformation projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and drive change
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others
- A professional project management qualification would be advantageous (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile)
