Research Assistant (Fixed Term)
We are currently seeking a Research Assistant. The role will be based within the Division of Experimental Medicine and Immunotherapetics (EMIT), Department of Medicine, based on Level 3, Addenbrooke's Centre for Clinical Investigation. The post holder will work with senior research staff to support the conduct of clinical research projects involving data collection, data collation and analysis and some data interpretation. Contribution towards publications may be encouraged. A key aspect of the role will involve working with senior research staff to undertake validation studies of novel technologies for assessing blood pressure and other cardiovascular indices, and practical experience in this area and/or some knowledge of the device validation landscape would be highly desireable. In addition, the post holder should have experience of and be able to perform required clinical and physiological examinations, such as blood pressure, pulse waveform analysis, ECG, cardiac output and others. Prior experience a related industry setting would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate should be educted to degree level and have (or be willing to gain while in post) a Good Clinical Practice certificate.
