Research Assistant/Research Associate in Service Management (Fixed Term)
A position is available for a Research Assistant/Associate to lead and conduct advanced research in customer experience management at the Cambridge Service Alliance (CSA), a research centre within the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge.
This role focuses on developing frameworks, methods, generating impactful insights, and driving innovation in digital services and customer experience. The candidate will leverage their PhD-level expertise and industry experience to explore emerging trends, digitalize services, and help firms adopt customer-centric strategies that enhance experience and drive business growth.
Working closely with CSA industrial partners and interdisciplinary teams, they will design and implement data-driven customer experience strategies that translate into actionable business improvements.
Location: West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research projects on customer experience management, focusing on data-driven insights and innovative frameworks.
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify emerging trends and develop actionable strategies.
- Publish high-impact research in academic journals and practitioner outlets.
- Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and training for organisational stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and postgraduate students.
- Build partnerships with academic and industry networks to promote knowledge exchange.
Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months in the first instance.
