University Assistant/Associate Professor in Materials Engineering
Applications are invited for a University Assistant/Associate Professorship in Materials Engineering. The successful applicant will contribute to research in at least one of the following areas from a materials engineering perspective: energy systems, advanced manufacturing and materials, computational and data-driven engineering, and robotics.
The Department of Engineering is one of the few truly integrated engineering departments in the world. It is also the largest department in the University of Cambridge, with this breadth and scale bringing unique advantages. The research portfolio, both in Materials Engineering and across the broader Engineering spectrum, contains many world-class contributions to research.
The role-holder will be expected to provide innovative teaching in materials, contributing to undergraduate courses, laboratory coursework, supervising undergraduate projects, examining and supervising of post-graduate students.
The position is based in the Engineering Department in Central Cambridge.
