Associate Director (CCAF Research Programmes) - (Fixed Term)
The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) is looking for a strategic and driven research leader to join its Executive Team and help shape the direction of academic research in one of the most dynamic areas of the financial sector. Our mission is to close critical knowledge gaps and support timely, evidence-based decision-making through cutting-edge research.
This is a pivotal role in the team. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating the Centre's research agenda, overseeing operations across multiple research clusters, and facilitating academic collaborations both within Cambridge Judge Business School and across the wider University. A core focus of the role will be to strengthen academic output and drive publication in peer-reviewed journals- ensuring that academic excellence remains at the heart of everything we do.
You will take the lead in managing the Centre's diverse and externally funded research programmes, from planning and proposal development through to contracting, procurement, data collection, analysis, and publication. Working closely with CCAF directors and research leads, you will implement robust and effective research processes that support quality, consistency and rigour across the Centre's work.
We are seeking someone with a strong track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact research projects, and of managing research teams in academic or related environments. Experience in grant-funded research management, impact evaluation, and international development is key, along with a deep understanding of digital financial services and the regulatory landscape. While a PhD, MBA, or postgraduate qualification is desirable, we place equal value on relevant experience and demonstrated expertise.
If you are passionate about impactful academic research and want to contribute to shaping the future of finance, we would love to hear from you.
