Senior Research Associate: Theoretical Chemistry
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 5 years in the first instance.
We seek a senior post-doctoral researcher with extensive research experience to lead and manage a programme in the simulation of the dynamics of photochemical processes, including (but not limited to) photo-induced charge-transfer reactions, polaritonic chemistry, and photoinduced phase transitions. Expertise in applying and developing the theory and algorithms needed to simulate these challenging systems is an essential prerequisite.
The successful applicant must have a PhD degree in theoretical chemistry with experience of managing a research programme, with proven impact from authored publications, and including the supervision of junior researchers and PhD students. The successful candidate needs to be able to act as the project lead and to take responsibility for the delivery of the programme's objectives.
