Research Assistant in Quantum Algebra and Higher Categories (Part Time, Fixed Term)


Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to join Jamie Vicary's group in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Cambridge. The research group focuses on the computational tooling and mathematical foundations of higher category theory, and its applications in computer science, mathematics, and physics. The Research Assistant will work with group members on projects related to higher categories and calculating quantum invariants of topological structures.

The successful candidate will have established expertise in higher category theory, representation theory, quantum graphs, and quantum communication, or relevant experience.
