Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Coordinator (Fixed Term)


We are looking for an experienced Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) practitioner to join the Health and Wellbeing Research Group as a PPIE Coordinator.

The role will include leading the PPIE activities across a range of active projects within the group. At the moment, the role will include coordination of the PPIE activities within the new Cancer Data Driven Detection (CD3) programme (https://www.ccge.medschl.cam.ac.uk/research-studies/active-programmes-studies/cancer-data-driven-detection-cd3-programme), and the Certain about Uncertainty programme (https://wellcome.org/research-funding/funding-portfolio/funded-grants/certain-about-uncertainty-bridging-cells-and). Coordination of PPIE activities across other projects will also be expected.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience within research, health or social care or community settings. They must have experience of leading PPIE activities and delivering PPIE strategies within an academic and/or healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate must also have experience of working with patient/public partners from a range of backgrounds as well as experience of working with multiple stakeholders from across health and/or social care.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check and a health assessment.
