Housing Advisor


The University of Cambridge Housing Services is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Housing Advisor to join our Accommodation Service team. In this vital role, you will be the main point of contact for residents living in University-managed properties, providing exceptional support throughout their tenancy¿from move-in to departure.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of the Accommodation Service, you will oversee a defined portfolio of properties within a specific geographic area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of these homes, ensuring a seamless and responsive service that enhances the resident experience and maintains high standards across the portfolio.

Our Housing Services team manages over 1,050 properties, including a significant number of Key Worker homes that play a crucial role in supporting the University's ability to attract and retain world-class staff. With an annual resident turnover of around 30%, and all tenancies renewed on a yearly basis, this is a dynamic and rewarding environment for a housing professional who thrives on delivering excellent service.

What we are looking for:

  1. Experience in residential property management within a customer-focused setting.
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to tenant satisfaction.
  3. A detail-oriented approach to tenancy administration and property oversight.
  4. The ability to manage multiple priorities and build positive relationships with residents.
